The Winter Whale Watch week is officially underway! Huge thank you to all of our volunteers out today!
Mother nature stopped by today and wanted to remind us that it is…in fact… winter.
We dealt with 10 – 16 foot swells today along the central coast with a not so pleasant 25mph wind and everyone had occasional rain. Whale watching was tough, but we still saw some!
Top 5 for today:
Cape Perpetua Visitor Center: 12 whales
Depoe Bay Whale Center: 6
Cape Foulweather & Ecola State Park: 4
Cape Ferrelo & Inn at Spanish Head: 3
Coast-wide 36 whales were spotted and over 971 visitors connected with our awesome volunteers!
See you tomorrow! (weather forecast looks good)
